The right-hander, who was India’s lone bright light in a 4-0 Tests thrashing, was abruptly called back to their white-ball teams for the LOI series planned for the second part of the tour. Even though Dravid immediately declared his retirement from playing with white balls after being called up, he agreed to play in the next five-match ODI series and one T20I.
Dravid made his funny debut and announced his retirement from the format in the same game because India was only scheduled to play one T20I against England on that tour. Despite not being thought of as a T20 asset because to his technical proficiency, Dravid surprised both fans and analysts on that particular day by displaying a different side of himself.
