India started their campaign against Bangladesh in stylish fashion. Virat Kohli hit a brilliant century in just 83 deliveries. But the real star of the match was undoubtedly Virender Sehwag, whose inning is still remembered today.
The match with Bangladesh was not simple as in the 2007 edition of the tournament, Bangladesh was the team that knocked India out. Everyone was thinking that India might give in to the pressure.

Sehwag and Sachin have been opening partners for a very long time. They knew about each other play style completely. But on one rare occasion, a blip in their chemistry cost Master Blaster his wicket.
Sehwag stated in the interview that he was looking at the ball, not at Sachin. This was the first time Sehwag has made this kind of mistake and Sachin lost his wicket at 28 runs. Sachin stated that he was very angry at Viru but by the end of the inning, all the anger was gone.
Ultimate Inning
Sehwag scored 175 runs in just 140 deliveries with 14 boundaries and 5 sixes as it was an inning that would be remembered for a very long time. An inning that set the tone of the Indian team for the world cup which ultimately ended with Dhoni lifting it.
