Cricket Viral Video: During India’s 2002 tour of New Zealand, Sachin Tendulkar displayed his batting prowess by scoring 72 runs in just 27 deliveries in a unique 10-over match. Dubbed as a “Super Max International,” this game was played in colourful jerseys and comprised of two innings each.
Sachin Tendulkar plays a special knock
The Kiwis started off by scoring 123 runs in their first 10 overs in the first innings. Then, Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag, India’s renowned opening pair, took to the field. The legendary batsman quickly got to work, tormenting the New Zealand bowlers. A special “Max Zone” was marked on the ground behind the bowler, where hits would result in double the runs scored. Sachin struck two 8s and a 12-run hit in that area, along with 10 fours.
Thanks to Sachin’s knock India scored 10 runs more and put 133 runs on the board. During the second innings, India was poised to secure victory until Sehwag’s costly 31-run performance in the 9th over of New Zealand’s second innings.

The Kiwis managed to make a comeback, adding 48 runs in the final two overs and ending their 2nd innings with 118 runs, setting India a target of 109. (10 runs lead in the first inning). Tendulkar’s outstanding performance also included five wickets, earning him the Man of the Match award.
