In the cricket viral video, Sachin Tendulkar explained that getting angry at Glenn McGrath was all part of a strategy.

Cricket Viral Video: Whenever we think about Sachin, we think of a calm and humble person who always talks with his bat. People have never seen Sachin Tendulkar angry on and off the field. But there was an incident when the ‘God of Cricket’ got very angry.

The instance is of ICC Knockout Trophy 2000 quarter-final. India was facing Australia in the quarter-final and that is when Sachin Tendulkar decided to get angry. And not on any random bowler, but on Glenn McGrath.

Glenn McGrath is one of the best bowlers of all time. But Sachin Tendulkar always used to find a way to score against him. And him getting angry and sledging Mcgrath was also one of those ways.

Cricket Viral Video: Part Of The Strategy

In the cricket viral video, Sachin Tendulkar explained that getting angry at Glenn McGrath was all part of a strategy. Sachin realized in the early stages of the match that it will be hard to play McGrath. That is when he consulted with Sourav Ganguly and decided to ramp up McGrath so that he bowl him in the body line more.

“The plan was to get him angry and make him attack my body instead of looking to get me out. We were beaten on occasions but also were able to make McGrath bowl where we wanted.” The Master Blastes stated.

And evidently, the trick worked. McGrath started bowling in the body line instead of getting a wicket. Sachin scored a quickfire 38 and Yuvraj Singh took advantage of that start and put India in a driving seat and India won in the end.

A Memorable Tournament

India did not win the tournament as they lost to New Zealand in the final. But this win put India on a pedestal and this tournament also saw the debut of Zaheer Khan and Yuvraj Singh. Two players that won the World Cup 2011 for India.
