However, his bowling skills were no less. He once dismissed Australian great Steve Waugh after sledging, which was a rare moment since Tendulkar is renowned for being cool and composed on the field.

Sachin Tendulkar has the remarkable ability to keep his calm even when the opposition players try to provoke him with their sledging. Instead, he responds by scoring runs with his bat, which is a great way to silence the critics.
However, in one rare incident during the fifth and last match of an ODI series between India and Australia in the year 2001. The match took place at the Nehru Stadium, Margao. Batting first, Men in Blue had managed to score 265/6 in 50 overs. At the moment the series was standing at 2-2. During Australia’s inning, Sachin lost his cool and was seen sledging Steve Waugh on camera. It’s worth noting that Steve Waugh didn’t do anything to annoy the Indian players, but when Sachin came to bowl, Steve decided to go for a big shot towards long-on.
Ajit Agarkar, fielding at that position, took a catch, and Steve Waugh fell prey to Sachin Tendulkar. The battle between the two started with a heated exchange, but in the end, Sachin emerged victorious and had the last laugh. He was dismissed on a score of 17 runs off 30 balls.
