During this time, he scored many runs and played many outstanding innings that helped India win important matches. One of his most memorable performances was when he scored 241* runs without hitting his favourite cover drive shot.
Sachin Tendulkar’s EPIC Knock
During India’s tour of Australia for a four-match Test series in 2003-04, both teams were tied at 1-1 going into the final Test in Sydney. In the preceding three matches, Sachin Tendulkar had not performed well, only scoring 82 runs in five innings with his scores being 0, 1, 37, 0, and 44. He kept getting dismissed by balls that were outside the off-stump. However, during the final match at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Tendulkar decided not to play a single cover drive in his innings.
This strategy worked for him as he went on to score 241 runs not out, which was his highest score in Test cricket at that time. He faced 436 balls and helped India score a total of 705-7 in the match. During his knock, he smashed 33 boundaries in total but none of them came as cover drive, which was his favourite shot. Thus, This inning is considered one of the best performances by him and is admired by both his fans and critics.

Sachin Tendulkar made his debut in cricket in 1989 and played for India until he retired in 2013. Throughout his 24-year career, he set many significant batting records that still stand today. Tendulkar holds the record for scoring the most international runs in cricket, with a total of 34,357 runs across all formats. He is also the only player to achieve 100 international centuries, which is a remarkable feat.
