Rishabh Pant played a sensational shot against Ireland that left everyone speechless. It was a reverse scoop for a six that only Pant can play and no one else. It was a testament to how brilliant of a batsman he is.
But it looks like we have got a tough competition against him for the shot of the tournament. As Scott Edward of the Netherlands played a similar shot against South Africa in another low-scoring match.
The shot came in the 12th over when Orange Army was struggling on 40/4 and Scott decided to play this abnormal shot at that time. It was a reverse paddle sweep that went all the way for a six.
It was the first six of the match and was much needed for the Netherlands. Their innings picked up a little bit after that and they were somehow able to cross the 100-run mark, only the second time on this ground.
Tough Loss
Even after scoring a low total, the Netherlands gave a very tough competition to South Africa. At one point, Africa was on 3/3 and was in huge trouble. But Tristian Stubbs and David Miller stabilized the innings and helped Africa achieve their second consecutive victory.
