Cricket Viral Video: How often have you witnessed stumps fly after being toppled by a pacer? That sight happens all the time. However, A spinner shattering the stump and sending it soaring is an uncommon sight. Rashid Khan, Afganistan’s star leg-spinner, disproved us, nevertheless, as his ball during a Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) game smashed the middle stump.
Young Rashid Khan uproots the stumps
In a BPL match between Comilla Victorians and Chittagong Vikings in the year 2017, the 19-year-old player for Comilla Victorians forced the umpire to bring in another stump after breaking one with his delivery. The game was successfully won by the Victorians as well.
Dilshan Munaweera, who was in good form, was dismissed by Rashid after failing to identify the googly and was undone by the Aghani spinner. He could manage to hit just 19 out of 25 balls. As his numbers read 1/17 in 4 overs, it was Khan’s lone wicket in the game. Khan wasn’t really challenged by the Vikings, and it appeared like they only wanted to play Rashid Khan’s 24 balls. Rashid did ultimately secure a wicket, though.

With just seven runs on the board and the Victorians needing 140 runs to win, Tamim Iqbal, a player on Rashid Khan’s squad, was dismissed. Imrul Kayes and Jos Buttler, however, maintained a low profile and performed the recovery act. Kayes fell five runs short of reaching fifty runs, while Buttler scored 44 runs in just 31 balls. Kayes, 30, was named the game’s man of the match.
