Cricket Viral Video: Playing for the Northern Superchargers in The Hundred, Harry Brook replicated Liam Livingstone’s feat from 2021 by sending a six soaring onto the roof of the Headingley Cricket Ground. This impressive shot covered a distance reminiscent of Liam Livingstone’s 122-meter six achieved at the same venue last year.
Harry Brook hits a giant six
Liam Livingstone’s monumental six, achieved off Pakistan’s Haris Rauf during a T20I match, has been etched as one of the most colossal sixes in the annals of international cricket. The ball’s trajectory led it to land on the adjacent rugby field, marking an exceptional feat.
On the recent Sunday, the spotlight turned to Harry Brook as he confronted Manchester Originals. Batting at No.3 and tasked with chasing a target of 183 set by the Superchargers, Brook began cautiously before he ignited his run-scoring momentum with consecutive fours off Paul Walter. His innings gained momentum further when he faced Usama Mir.
Brook made an emphatic impact on the very first ball he received from the Pakistani leg-spinner, unleashing a powerful strike that soared over the roof. The ball’s trajectory bounced on the shading and vanished beyond it, reminiscent of Livingstone’s feat from two years prior. Notably, Brook’s remarkable shot was executed against a spinner, in contrast to Livingstone’s earlier hit.

However, Mir managed to exact his revenge just three deliveries later. Brook attempted to tackle a flighted delivery but ended up finding a fielder stationed at long off, leading to his departure after scoring a quick 20 off 14 balls. Regrettably, despite Brook’s efforts, the Superchargers faced a defeat by a margin of 40 runs via the DLS method.
