Cricket Viral Video: Rahul Dravid, a legendary cricketer, adorned the game with his exceptional batting skills and represented Team India for more than ten years. As one of the two Indian batsmen to surpass 10,000 runs in two formats, Dravid amassed an impressive total of 13,288 runs in Test cricket and 10,889 runs in One Day Internationals. Dravid’s reputation in the longest format was built on his defensive batting style, a trait that didn’t come as a surprise to many fans. However, during the 2008 2nd Test against Australia in Sydney, The Wall, as he was fondly called, received an unexpected reaction from the crowd due to his slow scoring rate.

Commencing the innings alongside Wasim Jaffer, Rahul Dravid commenced his scoring in the match by hitting a boundary off Mitchell Johnson on the seventh delivery, thus securing his first run. Dravid maintained his typical approach, gradually accumulating runs at a steady pace. While he reached a score of 18 from 58 deliveries, he experienced a period where he remained unable to add to his total for several minutes, playing 39 consecutive dot balls.
During this challenging phase, Dravid faced formidable bowlers such as Andrew Symonds, Brett Lee, and Stuart Clark. Eventually, on the third ball of the 34th over, Dravid managed to break the drought and move his score to 19 by taking a single off Clark.
Immediately after Rahul Dravid completed that single, the crowd at Sydney Cricket Ground rose to their feet and applauded him with a standing ovation as if he had achieved a century milestone. Dravid graciously acknowledged the appreciation from the fans by raising his bat in acknowledgement. True to his reputation, Dravid didn’t let down the supporters and continued his innings. In the end, he accumulated a commendable score of 53 runs from 160 deliveries, maintaining a batting average of 33.12.
