Cricket Viral Video: South Africa made a comeback to world cricket in 1991 against India, and returned to India after five years for a Test series comprising three matches and a single ODI. Winning the toss, India chose to bat first in the match. In the first innings, Tendulkar and Mohammad Azharuddin top-scored for India, scoring 223 runs before being all out. South African bowlers Allan Donald, Pat Symcox, and Fanie de Villiers took four, two, and two wickets, respectively.
India fought back, preventing the South African team from settling in at the crease and restricting them to 244 runs, a slender lead of 21 runs, before they were all out. Daryll Cullinan and Fanie de Villiers were the top scorers for South Africa, with 43 and 67 runs, respectively. In the first innings, Indian spinner Sunil Joshi was the standout performer, taking four wickets for 43 runs, while Javagal Srinath, Anil Kumble, and Narendra Hirwani took two wickets each.
South Africa was on the verge of winning their first Test victory on Indian soil, needing just 170 runs in their second innings. However, Indian pacer Javagal Srinath had other plans as he produced a remarkable spell to dismantle the South African batting line-up. Srinath took the crucial wickets of opener Andrew Hudson and Daryll Cullinan before returning to dismiss Dave Richardson and Jonty Rhodes in quick succession.
