But there is one match that made him a legend for New Zealand and India. The 2023 match against Sri Lanka helped his nation win the match on the last ball as well as helped India qualify for the WTC 2023 finals.

The Cricket Viral Video features the last day of the match where New Zealand needed 285 runs to win in 70 overs. It was a tough task but the Kiwis decided to take it on. The top order failed in the process and they lost their first three wickets on just 90 runs.
It was then when Williamson alongside Daryl Mitchell decided to take it up a notch. Both of them played brilliantly and took the Blackcaps to 232 runs. Then another collapse started and Williamson was stranded on one end.
But he did not lose hope and started fighting alone. The match came to a stalemate when Kiwis needed 1 run off 1 delivery. Williamson missed the bouncer but ran anyway and a brilliant dive helped him finish the match in favor of his team.
Helped India
This win by New Zealand also helped India qualify for the World Test Championship 2023 finals. With the Kiwis defeating us in the WTC 2021 finals and 2019 ODI World Cup, then helping us reach the final, it was truly poetic.
