Pakistani batter pulls off a stunner

Durham started their innings well, as the opening duo of Alex Lees and Jones formed a solid partnership, accumulating 63 runs. However, their progress was halted when they lost three quick wickets, resulting in a score of 89-3. Jones then teamed up with wicket-keeper Ollie Robinson, and together they added 37 runs before Jones fell victim to Ben Aitchison’s delivery.

The ball was delivered just outside the off stump, pitching on a back of a length. Jones attempted a forceful shot, but his lack of control caused the ball to deflect off the outer edge. Initially, it appeared that the ball might evade the fielders, but Haider Ali showcased his remarkable athleticism by diving to his right and executing a breathtaking one-handed catch, saving the day for his team.

Ollie Robinson emerged as the standout performer, showcasing his skills with a century. Additionally, the lower-order batsman Brydon Carse played a vital role, remaining unbeaten on 77 as the day concluded.
