Cricket Viral Video: Ace West-Indies batsman Chris Gayle is known for his aggressive batting skills and hard hitting abilities. Though, he has a special place in every cricket enthusiast’s heart, there are only a few who would remember him for his fielding skills. Regarded to be not so good in taking catches, Gayle has proved his worth as a fielder many times.
Chris Gayle pulls off a one-handed stunner
In an odd turn of events, Gayle was facing West Indies B while representing Vancouver Knights in the first Global T20 Canada competition in the year 2018.
After Kavem Hodge’s thick edge off leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed, the then 38-year-old first slip player dove full length to his left. The ball bobbed up in the air after grazing Gayle’s hand. On the ground, the “universe boss” twisted and pouched it with his extended right hand. The video of the catch is fascinating and netizens are sharing it rapidly as they were left in awe by the legendary batsman.

By seven wickets, Vancouver Knights defeated West Indies B in the contest. Gayle, however, only managed to score two runs throughout his dismal at-bat performance.
The southpaw had already delivered a message to his critics with a strong Indian Premier League season in which he scored a century. This served as another reminder to never underestimate the Jamaican for those who believed his reflexes had slowed down.
