But nothing gets your blood flowing like watching a humongous six that leaves the bowler completely crushed. We have had a lack of hits like that in this World Cup. But Nepal player, Sompal Kami made sure to change that.
Nepal suffered a heartbreaking loss against South Africa by one run and gave their all to create a massive upset. During the chase, Sompal Kami played a decent cameo that included a mind-blowing six that woke up the crowd for a massive cheer.
Cricket Viral Video: 105-Metre Six
In the 19th over when Nepal needed 16 runs in 8 deliveries, Nepal all-rounder Sompal Kami decided to attack Anrick Nortje. And he attacked him pretty well, as he perfectly read his slower one and smashed him apart.
Sompal swung the bat with full force and caught the ball from the exact middle. It was a mammoth six of 105 meters that left everyone in shock, and the crowd roared in joy after seeing this spectacle.
The ball went out of the ground towards the square leg boundary and Nortje was speechless. The six once again shifted the tide of the match towards Nepal and they once again dared to dream.
What A Thriller!
The six once again got Nepal back in the game against the Proteas and they were on the verge of creating an upset. But the team was not able to handle the pressure and fell one run short in the end.
Nonetheless, it was a proud performance from Nepal who can go back to their country with their head held high. They will play their last ICC T20 World Cup 2024 match against Bangladesh on Sunday.
