For the Australian side, he has almost a decade of experience as one of the most reliable players. No matter whatsoever format Australia chooses for their side, his name always appears among the first ones on the squad sheet due to his impact.
David Warner made his international debut in 2009
The 36-year-old New South Wales native, a southpaw, made his international debut against South Africa in a T20I game at the historic Melbourne Cricket Ground in 2009. Warner put on a display for a raucous MCG crowd, blasting 89 off only 43 deliveries, despite the fact that it was his maiden match. He made an excellent debut since Australia won the game and he went home with the Player of the Match trophy. His international career could not have gotten off to a better start.
The left-hander had a brilliant T20I debut and later made his ODI debut in the same bilateral series, but it took him two years to get debut .
David Warner once played for Australia years before debut
But did you know that Warner played for Australia in a Test match against South Africa when he was just 17 years old, years before making his international debut? Warner was being watched by national selectors while playing at the youth level. Warner competed for Australia at the 2006 Under-19 World Cup, which was held in Sri Lanka.
In a Test match against the Proteas in 2005, he replaced Brett Lee as a replacement fielder at the age of 17.
The commentators and cameramen couldn’t stop talking about him until he was on the field, and neither could they take their eyes off him. They were all impressed by his speed and vigour as he chased down a ball that AB de Villiers had skillfully driven with his wrists and was headed for the boundary.

Warner was experiencing international cricket for the first time, and his dedication on the field was evident to everybody. He ultimately rose to fame in the modern era.
