Cristiano Ronaldo: Manchester United has announced that Cristiano Ronaldo is leaving the team with immediate effect.
Cristiano Ronaldo was asked to leave Old Trafford after giving the explosive interview against the Red Devils’ upper echelons, according to Premier League powerhouse Manchester United, who officially announced the Portuguese captain’s departure on Tuesday. Ronaldo will leave the club by mutual consent and with immediate effect, according to a statement issued by Manchester United.
What did the club say?
In an official statement, the club said, “Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.”

“Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.”
What did Cristiano Ronaldo say?
Ronaldo also responded by saying, “Following conversations with Manchester United we have mutually agreed to end our contract early. I love Manchester United and I love the fans, that will never ever change. However, it feels like the right time for me to seek a new challenge.
“I wish the team every success for the remainder of the season and for the future.”
Ronaldo’s controversial interview from last week
Following Ronaldo’s TalkTV interview with Piers Morgan, reports surfaced last week that United’s legal team was considering how to terminate Ronaldo’s contract.
Ronaldo, who has been a regular substitute this season, accuses United of betraying him by attempting to get rid of him. Ronaldo has scored three goals in 16 appearances.
Additionally, he claimed to have “no respect” for his boss Erik ten Hag and claimed that two Old Trafford officials mistreated him when he claimed that his daughter Bella had bronchitis three months after the death of her twin brother.
