CSK vs DC IPL 2023: Mitchell Marsh, who has been in excellent form, faced an unfortunate dismissal during the ongoing match between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Manish Pandey’s mixup with Marsh

In their pursuit of Chennai Super Kings’ total of 167, the Delhi Capitals got off to a disastrous start. David Warner was dismissed for a two-ball duck, while Philip Salt, who showed promising form, managed to score 17 runs off 11 balls. Unfortunately for the Capitals, before they could recover from these setbacks, a poor call from Manish Pandey resulted in the loss of another crucial wicket.

Mitchell Marsh’s innings came to an abrupt halt after a disastrous mix-up with his partner, Manish Pandey. In the 4th over of the match, as Tushar Deshpande delivered the ball, Pandey played a defensive shot towards the cover region and took a few steps forward. Considering it was Pandey’s call for a single, Mitchell Marsh responded accordingly. However, it turned out to be a miscommunication, resulting in Marsh’s dismissal.

As the Australian all-rounder swiftly left the crease, aiming for a quick single, he was caught off guard by his partner’s sudden change of mind. Manish Pandey, after taking a few steps forward, opted against taking the single, leaving Mitchell Marsh stranded halfway down the pitch. In the midst of the confusion, Ajinkya Rahane, fielding the ball, observed Marsh standing close to Pandey near the striker’s end. Rather than throwing the ball, Rahane swiftly approached the non-striker’s end and dislodged the bails, resulting in Marsh’s dismissal.
