CSK vs DC IPL 2023: In the match against the Delhi Capitals at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, the Chennai Super Kings, led by MS Dhoni, won the toss and elected to bat first. However, the opening pair of Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad, who are typically known for their strong starts, didn’t manage to provide the usual momentum. Within the powerplay, Conway was dismissed, and Gaikwad followed on the very first ball after the powerplay.
Lalit Yadav’s one-handed stunner
As Moeen Ali was dismissed, the top-order of Chennai Super Kings struggled to make significant contributions. With the score standing at 77/3 after 11 overs, CSK faced another setback when Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed in the 12th over. David Warner, the captain of the Delhi Capitals, reintroduced spinner Lalit Yadav into the attack, and Yadav lived up to the expectations by delivering an impressive performance.
In the 12th over, on the very first delivery, Lalit Yadav claimed a crucial wicket by dismissing Rahane. Yadav showcased exceptional skills by executing a remarkable one-handed diving catch at the non-striker’s end. This brilliant catch resulted in the dismissal of Rahane, who had scored 21 runs off 20 deliveries.
