CSK vs GT IPL 2023: The first match of the tournament is currently underway at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad between Chennai Super Kings and reigning champions Gujarat Titans. Latter won the toss and opted to field first. Mohammed Shami did not disappoint as he dismissed opener Devon Conway in the start, cheaply. Meanwhile, he also completed 100 wickets in the tournament with the wicket.

Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to field first in the highly thrilling clash. Mohammed Shami started the bowling attack for GT, however, the first over didn’t hand them any wicket. Then, the bowkler was called for the third over too. Just on the second ball, Shami bowled round the wicket, Devon Conway completely failed to read the ball and got dismissed for 1 runs off 6 balls, as he uprooted two stumps completely.
This was also the 94th match for the fast bowler Mohammed Shami in which he took a wicket that marked his 100th wicket in the IPL. Shami has an impressive record in the league, averaging 29.19 with an economy of 8.52. Shami joined the Titans in the 2022 mega auction for Rs. 6.25 crores, and performed very well in his first season, taking 20 wickets.
