CSK vs KKR IPL 2023: In the IPL 2023 clash between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, things turned heated when KKR captain Nitish Rana confronted the on-field umpires over a penalty. Prior to the final over, Rana’s bowlers were found to be behind the required rate, resulting in the penalty being imposed.
Nitish Rana gets into heated argument
Consequently, the Kolkata Knight Riders were instructed to deploy an additional fielder within the inner circle as a penalty. Nitish Rana expressed his dissatisfaction with the decision and engaged in a heated argument with the umpires, while his teammates attempted to separate themselves from the altercation.
Following this incident, Vaibhav Arora bowled a relatively uneventful 20th over, conceding nine runs and claiming the wicket of Ravindra Jadeja. Chennai Super Kings concluded their first innings with a total of 144 runs, having lost six wickets. Victory in this match will ensure CSK becomes the first team to qualify for the playoff stage this year.
