CSK vs KKR IPL 2023: The second match of the day is currently underway between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders at Chepauk. The home team, led by MS Dhoni, won the toss and opt to bat first. Ajinkya Rahane came in at number 3 and played a short inning but managed to make the crowd wild with his unique shots.
Ajinkya Rahane gets going
CSK had a fair start in the match as they scored 37 runs in the first four overs. However, star opener Ruturaj Gaikwad was dismissed for a score of 17 runs in 13 balls, impacting the innings. Ajinkya Rahane then stepped in at the crease and played a small cameo filled with elegant shots around the ground.
Nitish Rana called upon Harshit Rana to bowl the fifth over. The over remained largely silent for the first five balls, as the team scored just 5 runs off them, including a boundary coming on to it. However, just as the fifth ball went for dot, Rahane decided to step up and go big. Eventually, on the last ball, which came just at length, he slammed it all along for a top-notch six over the long-on. The video of the shot is going immensely viral on social media now.
