Significantly, the BCCI has announced that the remaining matches of IPL 2021 will be played in the UAE in September-October and the upcoming season of CPL was scheduled from 28 August to 19 September.

But the BCCI wanted Cricket West Indies to conclude the CPL before September 19, and that is why it did not officially announce the dates for the remaining matches of IPL 2021.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah had a conversation with CPL CEO Pete Russell regarding this, after which its schedule has been changed. Now the CPL will start three days before and the first tournament of IPL will end.
According to the report of cricket website CricBuzz, now the upcoming season of CPL will be played between August 25 and September 15.
