David Warner: During the second Test match against South Africa, Australian batsman David Warner scored a magnificent 200. Many former cricket players and analysts lauded the veteran Aussie opening batsman for completing a superb innings at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
But just when things seemed to be going well for him, Warner managed to make news for all the wrong reasons. A picture of Warner’s sneaker that had the names of his wife and daughters went viral, drawing harsh condemnation for Warner.
In the opening innings of the second Test against the Proteas, the southpaw broke an almost three-year century drought and produced an amazing knock of 200 off 255 deliveries. After 100 Tests, Warner has amassed 8122 runs, including 25 centuries and 34 half-centuries.

David Warner returns back to form
Returning to the action on the field, Warner scored a double century in his 100th Test to become just the 10th player in cricket history to do so. Only the second cricketer from Australia has accomplished this incredible achievement. The former Australia captain Ricky Ponting is Warner’s closest competitor on the list of top cricketers.
Additionally, Warner made history by being just the second batsman to score a century in both his 100th ODI and 100th Test match. The 36-year-old is now the eighth Australian batsman to surpass 8,000 runs in Test cricket.
