DC vs KKR IPL 2023: Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals are currently battling out at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. The home team won the toss and chose to bowl first. Their bowlers executed the plans successfully as they bowled out KKR for 127 runs. However, they managed to go to this respectable total as star batter Andre Russell smashed three sixes in the last over.
Andre Russell goes berserk
Star batter Andre Russell was the second-highest scorer for the team with 38 runs in 31 balls, hitting 1 boundary and four maximums. After 19 overs, they had a score of 108 runs while losing 9 wickets. Mukesh Kumar was tasked to bowl the final over of the innings. However, the over did not go at all as per their expectations.
After a dot on the first ball, Andre Russell stepped in to take his team to a defendable total. He launched his onslaught and smashed three sixes in the next three balls. The second one of which went as high as 109m. The crowd went into a frenzy as this firework gave them momentum in the end. Andre Russell ended with a score of unbeaten 38. Jason Roy was the highest scorer with 43 runs in 39 balls.
