Batting first after winning the toss, Delhi team’s batting was a flop and the team was reduced to just 105 runs. Chasing the target, the Mumbai team won the match by 8 wickets in just 15 overs.
Mumbai’s third consecutive win
Till now there were two such teams in the Women’s Premier League which had not lost even a single match in this league till now. This includes teams from Delhi and Mumbai. But the Mumbai team won the match by 8 wickets today and by winning the third consecutive win in this league, they have strengthened their final hopes even more. Mumbai team performed brilliantly in both batting and bowling and got a very comfortable victory over Delhi. With this win, Mumbai remains at number one on the points table.
Delhi’s batting flopped
Batting first after winning the toss, Delhi team’s batting was a flop and the team was reduced to just 105 runs. No batsman could walk from the Delhi team and the team was reduced to 105 runs. Skipper Meg Lanning could only manage 43 runs to take her team to a respectable score. On the other hand, Sayka Ishaq, Haley Mathews and Wong all the three bowlers took 3-3 wickets from the Mumbai team. Apart from this, Pooja Vastrakar took 1 wicket.
