DC vs PBKS IPL 2023

DC vs PBKS IPL 2023: In the 59th match of the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) between the Punjab Kings and the Delhi Capitals, the home team has asserted their dominance by dismissing Shikhar Dhawan, Liam Livingstone, and Jitesh Sharma during the power play. As a result, the Punjab Kings find themselves at 48 runs on the scoreboard with the loss of three wickets within the first six overs of their innings. In an attempt to boost the scoring rate, the Punjab Kings promoted Jitesh Sharma to bat at number 4. However, the young wicket-keeper batsman was unable to capitalize on the opportunity as he fell victim to the deceptive bowling of Axar Patel.

Axar Patel bowls out Jitesh

After getting off to a good start with a well-executed boundary in the fifth over, Jitesh Sharma displayed a lack of composure. He attempted to shuffle before Axar Patel had delivered the ball, allowing the bowler to adapt his line. As a result, Jitesh was left out of position, and the ball crashed into the stumps, bringing an end to his innings after scoring 5 runs off 5 deliveries.

Thanks to Prabhsimran’s maiden IPL century of 103 runs, PBKS managed to score 167/7 in 20 overs. Earlier, Shikhar and Livingstone were also dismissed within the powerplay for a single digit score. If not for Prabhsimran’s inning, Punjab would have settled for a severely low score. Axar Patel picked a wicket in his four wicket spell while giving away just 27 runs.
