Deepti Sharma: Jhulan Goswami played her last international match on a very high note after Deepti Sharma did an incredible run-out sealed an incredible 16-run victory for India at the historical ground of Lord’s. With the win against England, India completed a historic whitewash and registered a 3-0 victory against the series hosts. After it looked like India was heading to win the match, a sensational win from Charlie Dean put the home on the side of win. However, Deepti’s street smartness worked like a wonder for the Women in Blue as she caught dean almost half-way down the crease sent her to pavilion with a clever run-out.

R. Ashwin backed Deepti Sharma
England pacer Stuart Broad was very quick to react to the incident and led reactions from across the cricket. Broad was unhappy with the manner in which the match ended but he faced backlash for the same thing from plenty of cricket fans and ex-players because cricket fraternity was divided with their opinions. Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin backed Deepti after being involved in a similar incident a few years ago with Jos Buttler in Indian Premier League.
