Dewald Brevis: South Africa’s star batter Dewald Brevis, who has been in headlines for scoring a record-breaking 162 runs in just 57 balls, continued to steal the show as he took a jaw-dropping catch in the same match. In a Monday game in the ongoing CSA T20 Challenge between the Titans and Knights, Brevis took this catch.
When Harmer struck a tremendous hit in the seventh over of the Knights’ inning in an attempt to cross the boundary ropes, the 19-year-old Brevis’ outstanding performance ensured that his team stays in safe spot.
The South African youngster’s excellent catching, though, sent him back to the sidelines. In order to accomplish the catch, Bravis initially dove inside the rope to prevent the ball from being sent out for a six but threw the ball in air simultaneously and then ran again quickly to take the catch.
Prior to then, Brevis scored the most domestic T20 runs with 162 runs off 57 balls. Additionally, he established a record for the fastest domestic hundred in South Africa. Brevis was in superb form as he took just 18 balls to go to his 50 and 35 to score a tonne. Prior to being bowled out in the 20th over, he hit 13 fours and 13 sixes, helping his team to a total of 271/3.
AB de Villiers, former star cricketer of Proteas gave the youngster high praise on Twitter, writing: “Dewald Brevis. No need to say more.”
