Following his involvement in the Indian Premier League, MS Dhoni’s knee issue has become worse. This week, he will be admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital for a number of tests.
The veteran won his fifth IPL championship when Gujarat Titans were defeated by CSK by five wickets.
Dhoni had a knee ailment when he started the IPL in 2023 and was spotted during the 16th season donning a kneecap. The left knee was also heavily strapped.
Many believed that this would be the renowned player’s final year competing in the event, but he has refused to put up his boots and will take part in the following season.
“If you see circumstantially, this is the best time for me to announce retirement from the Indian Premier League. But with the amount of love and affection I’ve got this year, the easy thing for me would be to say goodbye. But the tough thing for me is to work hard for another nine months and return in the next season. But a lot depends on my body. I have six-seven months to decide, and I can disappoint my fans. I think I’ll play one more season for them,” he said.
