ENG vs AUS: English bowlers helped England to level series

England won the second ODI against Australia by 24 runs in Manchester. England batted in the first innings and managed to score just 231 runs. No English batsmen scored 50+ runs, while the English captain Eoin Morgan was the top scorer from the side. Adam Zampa was the top wicket-taker from the Australian side, he took 3 wickets in his 10-over-quota and gave just 36 runs.

Australia marched the field in the second innings with confidence to win the game comfortably. The visitors lost the wicket of David Warner when the team total was just 9 runs. In the absence of Steven Smith Marcus Stoinis came to bat at Number 3 but he failed and then Marnus Labuschagne came at Number 4, he held at the crease with the captain Aaron Finch in the partnership of 107 runs. Finch got out at 73 and Labuschagne scored 48 runs.

The English bowlers were the havocs for the Australian in the second half of the Australian innings. Australia lost 4 wickets for just 3 runs between 32nd to 35th over. Chris Woakes, Jofra Archer, and Sam Curran took 3-3 wickets which helped England in winning the match. Jofra Archer was adjourned as the player of the match for his contribution with the ball.
The two teams will meet in the final match of the series at Manchester on September 16. England has already won the T20I series, while Australia looked confident but failed to deliver against the World Champion in the T20I games. The final encounter will be an exciting one and both the teams will surge the field with a hope to seal the series.
