ENG vs PAK: In the historic Test series between Pakistan and England, up to seven umpires will preside over the matches. Three of the officials are noteworthy members of the ICC Elite Panel, with Andy Pycroft slated to oversee match control for the forthcoming ICC World Test Championship match.

From December 9 to December 13, Aleem Dar and Marais Erasmus will serve as the on-field umpires for the second Test in Multan. Joel Wilson and Rashid Riaz will serve as the third and fourth umpires, respectively. The same umpires who presided in the first Test will take the same positions in the final Test, which will be held in Karachi from December 17 to December 21.
England’s first tour after 17 years
In the meantime, this will be England’s first trip to Pakistan since 2005. Yasir Shah, Fawad Alam, and Hasan Ali were noticeably absent from Pakistan’s most recent team announcement for the home Test matches against England. Sarfaraz Ahmed, a former captain, has earned a spot in Pakistan’s team once again. This series is even more special as the winner will strengthen their position in the WTC finals, in which six teams are still in contention.
