ENG vs PAK, T20 World Cup 2022: The T20 World Cup final is likely to take place on Sunday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground as Asian stalwart Pakistan and England square off. The Pakistan team led by Imran Khan won the 1992 Cricket World Cup, defeating England at the same venue in the championship game. Babar Azam and his team will be hoping for a repeat of that feat.

After defeating New Zealand by seven wickets, Pakistan, who was once on the verge of being eliminated from the competition, is entering the championship match. However, their rivals defeated India in the second semifinal by a margin of 10 wickets.
Even though both teams feature a star-studded lineup, the unpredictable Melbourne weather has the potential to make a significant difference in the outcome.
What is the weather forecast for ENG vs PAK finale?
The weather prediction for Sunday doesn’t seem good, and rain is likely to disrupt the contest, according to the meteorology department.
“Cloudy. Very high (near 100%) chance of showers. The chance of a thunderstorm, possibly severe. Winds east to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h turning northerly 25 to 35 km/h during the morning then decreasing to 15 to 20 km/h in the evening,” read an update on the official website of the meteorology department.
The game shifts to reserve day, which is on Monday, if the game is postponed from Sunday. However, the picture for the reserve day is likewise bleak.

“Cloudy. Very high (95%) chance of showers, most likely in the morning and afternoon. The chance of a thunderstorm. Winds northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h turning westerly 25 to 40 km/h during the morning then decreasing to 15 to 25 km/h during the afternoon,” the forecast for Monday read.
What will happen if rain washes out the day?
The Pakistan vs. England final does indeed have a reserve day. It does, however, have some restrictions. The game won’t continue on the reserve day, which is Monday(November 14), if, for example, both teams are playing 10 overs per inning on Sunday and it starts to rain. It won’t take effect until the aforementioned condition is not met. If both teams are able to complete 10 overs per innings, the DLS technique will be used to determine the match’s outcome and the winner. If not even a ball gets bowled, both will be crowned as equal victors.
Both the finalists have won trophy once
In Melbourne, England and Pakistan, who have each already won the T20 World Cup once, will compete for a second championship. However, the bleak outlook for both days increases the likelihood of joint winners. If this does occur, it will be the first time in the tournament’s history that both finalists will share the trophy.
