India and Enngland will lock horns in the second Test match at Lord’s, London. The first Test match was ended in a draw after rain gods played spoilsport on Day 5. Indian team was nose ahead in the first Test match when they needed 157 runs with nine wickets remainings on Day 5 to win the Test match.
Well there are several injury scares in both the team going forward to the Lord’s Test match. Shardul Thakur will not feature in the Indian playing eleven due o hamstring injury and from England both of their senior pacemen James Anderson and Stuart Broad will miss the next Test match.
England have roped in Moeen Ali and Saqib Mahmood in their squad for the next Test match but they might chose Mark Wood ahead of him.
England have been playing Broad and Anderson in alternate Test matches but decided to press them into service together in the first Test due to absence of options.
Anderson (621 wickets) and Broad (524 wickets) have together taken 1145 Test wickets and have a combined experience of 312 Test matches. England have never played a Test match without any of them since 2016.
