Fifa Rankings: Indian Football Team journey has been a fairy tale so far. From a video where Sunil Chettri was asking everyone to come and watch their matches to this now, we have come a long way. And this is just the start.

India entered into the Top 100 Fifa ranking for the first time since 2018. India achieved the rank of 99th back in 2018. The journey of Football in India back into the elites has been nothing less than a miracle. And we hope this journey keeps on going this way.

India is on a 13-game unbeaten streak and has already won Intercontinental Cup 2023 in June. Men in Blues have the opportunity to add the second silverware to their collection as they are facing Lebanon in the semi-final of the SAFF Championship 2023.

All Eyes On Saff Championship 2023

India has the opportunity to climb further up in the FIFA Ranking table, considering how they will perform in SAFF Championship 2023. They are in the Semi-Final and will face Lebanon tomorrow at 7:30 PM.

India has already defeated Lebanon in 2023 in the final of the Intercontinental Cup 2023. The Blue Tigres would like to make it two in two and book their place in the final of the SAFF Championship 2023. India defeated Pakistan (4-0) and Nepal (2-0) earlier and drew against Kuwait in the group stages.

Argentina Remained On The Top

Argentina maintained its top position in FIFA Rankings even 6 months after the FIFA World Cup 2022 final. Their victory against Australia and Indonesia was enough for Lionel Messi‘s men to retain the top spot. France remained in second while Brazil remained in the third position.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Argentina sent a proposal to the All India Football Federation for a friendly in India. But due to a lack of funds, AIFF had to reject the proposal. But considering the rise of football, we hope that we can see matches like these in the future.
