FIFA World Cup 2022: In their second Group D match, France, the 2018 World champions, defeated Denmark 2-1 thanks to a striking goal from Kylian Mbappe. For Les Bleus to become the first team to advance to the round of 16 stage of the present FIFA World Cup, Mbappe shone in the main match and scored two goals.

The game started off with a high-intense action, with both teams attacking one another. Olivier Giroud of France and AC Milan, who was brought in via a flick by Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, had the game’s opening opportunity. Giroud attempted to make the decisive touch, but Barcelona center-back Andreas Christensen blocked his shot.
French striker Kylian Mbappe of PSG gave his team the lead in the 61st minute. French full-back Kylian Mbappe scored the game’s first goal by putting the ball past goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel after a brilliant run by full-back Theo Hernandez in behind Denmark’s defensive line.
France qualifies to the knockout stage
The game-winning goal for Les Bleus was scored in the 86th minute by France’s top attacker Kylian Mbappe. Mbappe connected with a pass that Griezmann drifted into the area from the right side to give France a 2-1 lead.

France became the first team at this World Cup to advance to the knockout rounds with this victory. On November 30, they will play Tunisia in their final group-stage match.
