Messi and Sachin both wear jerseys with the number 10. Eight years ago, Messi and Germany fell in the World Cup finals. Tendulkar received the honour at the semifinal matchup of the 2011 World Cup against Pakistan, whereas Messi received it on December 13, 2022, during Argentina’s matchup with Croatia. After the similarities were brought up, Tendulkar eventually won the 2011 World Cup, and the Indian legend’s query alluded to Messi and Argentina winning the FIFA World Cup.
Messi to play his last FIFA World Cup game
The final match versus France will be Messi’s final participation at the four-year tournament because he has previously stated that the current FIFA World Cup will be his last. Messi will be approaching age of 39 in 2026, the year of the next event. So he had to make a brave choice.
