Angel di Maria take La Albiceleste to 2-0 vs France
At the Lusail Stadium in Doha, Argentina has got a perfect start to winning the cup for the first time since 1986. Later Angel di Maria doubled the lead for La Albiceleste with a brilliant clean strike in the goalpost.
So far 7 minutes of injury time has been added and Argentina has been slowing down the game to maintain the lead.
Before the game, many big names across the globe tweeted and showed their support for Messi’s Argentina.
Former India batter and legendary player Sachin Tendulkar gave his opinion on the impending match.
Tendulkar tweeted and drew a parallel between India’s 2011 cricket World Cup win and Argentina’s advancement to the final which is also Messi’s last game of their career. Interestingly both Tendulkar and Messi wear jersey number 10.
