WWE: Controversies and CM Punk are two sides of the same coin. In 2022, Punk was involved in one of the most infamous backstage controversies in wrestling. Leave being involved, he was the centerpiece of it.
We all know about the infamous ‘Punk-Elite’ backstage controversy. Now, it looks like, CM Punk has been involved in another backstage brawl. The details are still hazy and not clear but it has created quite a stir.
During the AEW’s statement Pay Per View of the year 2023, All In, Jack Perry, and CM Punk got involved in a backstage brawl. Jack Perry is termed as one of the four pillars of AEW and goes by the stage name of ‘Jungle Boy.’
Huge Backstage Brawl
According to PW Insider, an altercation between CM Punk and Jack Perry escalated very quickly. The altercation resulted in a brawl and both sides shoved each other as hard as they could.
The report also states that Punk either punched or choked Perry out. It was also reported that Perry was ordered to leave the Wembley Stadium and Punk left after an hour of his match against Samoa Joe.
PW Torch has also stated that the PPV was almost delayed due to the incident and the production crew was trying to find something to fill time if Punk was not able to go out on time.
Ex-WWE Wrestler Denies The Claim
Another report started to surface soon after the incident. The report stated that Jack Perry approached CM Punk backstage and “stepped in his face” and “bumped” Punk. This altercation led to the shoving.
Former WWE Wrestler Rusev who is in AEW as Miro right now, has denied the story. Miro quoted the story and stated that it was fake and untrue.
