French Open 2024: Eyeing Another Record
Djokovic already holds the record for most Grand Slams to his name. But now, he has the opportunity to secure most victories at the Slams if he defeats the Italian 30th seed on Saturday in Paris.
Federer has secured 369 Grand Slam victories in his illustrious career and Djokovic is just 1 win behind him. He not only has the chance to equal it but he can even make the record his own if he reaches the semi-finals.
Djokovic and Musetti have met 5 times in the past and the Serbian has come out on top 4 times. The 37-year-old is motivated and is looking to secure another Grand Slam to his name.
My Biggest Opponent
The French Open is in full force and it is reaching the exciting stage. Not only matches are getting fired up but even the post-match interviews are getting fired up. In one of these interviews, Djokovic has revealed his biggest rival and the tennis fans are buzzing.
A few months ago, Djokovic stated that he considers both Federer and Rafael Nadal as his biggest rivals. But on Friday, he snubbed out Federer and claimed Nadal as his greatest rival.
While talking about his rivalry with Nadal, Djokovic stated “I have said it many times he has been the greatest rival that I ever had. Matches against him on clay have frustrated me so much in my career, But they also made me a better player.”
