Top Wrestlers Accuse Singh of Harassment
Top Olympians Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, and Bajrang Punia demanded Singh’s arrest on claims that he harassed seven wrestlers, including the kid, with sexual advances. However, the police advised that the accusation made by the young wrestler against Singh be dismissed since there was “no corroborating evidence.” Additionally, Singh refuted all of the accusations made against him by the wrestlers. The wrestlers had also requested that WFI establish an internal complaints committee with a female chair. Anurag Thakur, the Union Sports Minister, unanimously approved on each of these suggestions.
