Ravindra Jadeja: The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja emerged as the team’s hero as the Men in Yellow defeated the Gujarat Titans (GT) by five wickets to win their fifth championship. The pressure was on Jadeja to assist his side cross the finish line with 10 required off only two deliveries with Mohit Sharma in the middle of a superb over. The southpaw, however, first produced a fantastic connection to knock a maximum down the line before displaying incredible focus off the final pitch to direct the ball beyond the fine leg fielder for a boundary.
The Key to CSK’s Thrilling Victory
Jadeja had been at the core of it all and maintained his composure to win the game shortly after he defeated the fine leg fielder, who was stationed within the 30-yard circle. After finishing the task, he raised his hands in triumph while still being unblemished on 15 from 6 deliveries. In a touching gesture, Jadeja hugged his wife Rivaba after performing heroics in the final over to assist the Men in Yellow achieve yet another IPL victory. Social media users have shared pictures and videos of the occasion widely. Throughout the entire game, Rivaba supported the CSK star, and the look on her face when Jadeja scored the game-winning goal went viral online. What happened after the game but before the post-game presentation, though, really stole the show. When Rivaba met her husband on the pitch, she touched his feet, exemplifying Indian culture.

Gujarat Titans Set Record-Breaking Total in IPL Final
Speaking of the game, CSK won the toss and asked GT to bat first because MS Dhoni thought there would be some rain later in the day. On the strength of outstanding performances by Sai Sudharsan (96 off 47) and Wriddhiman Saha (54 off 39), Gujarat scored 214/4, the highest total in an IPL final. CSK’s run chase was halted by rain, and their revised goal of 171 runs in 15 overs was given to them. Player of the Match Devon Conway scored 47 off 25 while Shivam Dube (32 off 21), Ajinkya Rahane (27 off 13), Ruturaj Gaikwad (26 off 16), and Ambati Rayudu (19 off 8) also contributed. However, it was Jadeja’s cameo that ensured that all of this effort was for a good cause and that Dhoni would add another trophy to his collection.
