BCCI secretary Jay Shah wrote a special note on X (formerly Twitter) expressing his faith in Gambhir. He underlined that Gambhir is the ideal choice for this prominent position because of his wealth of expertise and distinct vision.
Transition Details
Earlier, Jay Shah had stated that the new head coach would be joining the team during the white-ball series against Sri Lanka. As of now, VVS Laxman will lead the squad for the Zimbabwe series.
