Gujarat won the toss and decided to bat first, but unfortunately, none of their batsmen were able to put up a substantial score. Poor batting performance by GG
The team’s poor performance drew criticism on social media, with many fans and followers trolling them for their lacklustre display. Captain Sneh Rana won the toss and elected to bat first. However, this decision did not work in the team’s favour, as their batting performance was quite poor. In fact, half of the team was already back in the pavilion with just 31 runs on the scoreboard before the end of the playover. Despite this, Kim Garth managed to emerge as the top scorer for Gujarat, contributing 32 runs to the team’s total score.
In addition to Kim Garth’s top score of 32, only three other batswomen for Gujarat were able to score double-digit runs. Georgia Wareham scored 22, Harleen Deol scored 20, and Tanuja Kanwar contributed 13 runs. However, apart from these four players, none of the other batsmen could manage to score more than 10 runs. Marizanne Kapp proved to be the key bowler for Delhi, taking five wickets, while Shikha Pandey and Radha Yadav also made significant contributions, taking three and one wicket respectively. Following their poor performance with the bat, the Gujarat team faced trolling on social media.
