GG vs MI WPL 2023: Mumbai Indians’ skipper Harmanpreet Kaur smashed her and the tournament’s first individual fifty against Gujarat Giants today. The first match of the tournament is currently underway at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Earlier, Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and chose to bat first, and proving the decision right, the team has scored 170 runs with four-wicket loss in 17 overs. Skipper Harmanpreet scored valiant and aggressive 65 runs off 30 balls, playing with the strike rate of 216.67.
Harmanpreet Kaur hits first fifty of WPL 2023
Harmanpreet Kaur smashed 65 off 30 balls only. She completed her fifty in just 22 balls, playing a quick-fire knock for her team. During the innings, she smashed fourteen boundaries around the ground. While completing her fifty, she also smashed three boundaries in a row. However, she was ultimately caught by Hemalatha at backward point
Apart from her, opener Hayley Matthews smashed 47 off 31 balls. She too smashed three boundaries and four sixes. However, another opener Yastika was out for just one run. Sciver-Brunt also played a good cameo, scoring 23 off 18 balls.
