Ever since the new season of Indian Premier League 2024 started, Mumbai Indians faced back-to-back defeats against every team. The franchise shocked everyone with their announcement of making Hardik Pandya the captain of the team. The season started with their match against Gujarat Titans and they faced defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals. After three consecutive losses, Captain Hardik Pandya opened up and he shared a statement to cheer his teammates.

Hardik Pandya failed to perform well in the first two matches but he performed well in the third match and impressed the fans. To motivate teammates and fans, the captain took to his X account to cheer them. He shared a message for them on the social media platform. The captain wrote, “If there’s one thing you should know about this team, we never give up. We’ll keep fighting, we’ll keep going.”
He admitted mistakes during the post-match ceremony. He said at the ceremony, “Yes, a tough night, we didn’t start the way we wanted to start. I wanted to counter, we were in a decent position to get us around 150-160, but my wicket allowed them to get back more into the game, I needed to do a lot more.”

Hardik Pandya captained Gujarat Titans in the previous two seasons of IPL. In the last year, he won three consecutive matches for Gujarat but he failed to do it as MI captain. However, the team is eyeing to get some points very soon.
