Harmanpreet Kaur: The incident of Harmanpreet Kaur slamming the wickets with her bat after getting out has already gone viral. But the incident did not end there only as the frustrated Indian skipper was not done.
In the post-match ceremony, the Indian team captain stated that the umpiring was ‘pathetic’ and they will keep that in mind. Even vice-captain Smriti Mandhana backed her captain’s claims.
But who knew, that was just the tip of the iceberg as the Indian captain was not done. An incident happened during the end of the series photoshoot which really rattled the Bangladesh Captain.
Bring On The Umpires Too
Though it is not clear, it can be made up that during the end of the series photoshoot and trophy presentation, Harmanpreet Kaur shouted at Bangladesh players to ‘Bring the umpires too.’
It was shocking, quite resentful, and even left Nigar speechless. The Bengal Tigers captain had no idea what to do. Harmanpreet Kaur taunt was indicating that umpires were part of the team as well and helped them with the draw.
Bangladesh team captain, Nigar spoke to Bangladesh Cricket Board about the incident and took her players back to the dressing room as soon as the photo shoot was done.
Should Respect The Players
Nigar retaliated with her own remarks stating that the Indian skipper should be respectful to the players.
“It is totally her problem. I have nothing to do with it. As a player, she could have shown better manners. I can’t tell you what happened, but it didn’t feel right to be there with my team. It wasn’t the right environment. That’s why we went back. Cricket is a game of discipline and respect.”
