Swapnil Kusale added the third medal to the Indian Paris Olympics 2024 tally in an unreal comeback. After a slow start in the finals, Swapnil made a sensational comeback to clinch his first Olympic medal.
This is Swapnil’s first Olympic event and he made sure that he won’t go back home empty-handed. This is India’s third medal in Paris Olympics 2024 and all three of them have been won by our shooters.
Swapnil started slowly by scoring a 9.5 in the first round which put him in the sixth position. But he kept his calm and made an unreal comeback. The thing that shocked everyone was how calm he was even in the post-event interview.
‘Heartbeat Still Fast’
The post-event interview by Swapnil was the real show stealer as the Olympic bronze medalists showcased his calm and composed nature. He was feeling ultimate happiness but did not let his emotions on his face.
While being asked about his victory, Swapnil stated that his heartbeat was still fast and he was very nervous during the final. He was happy that he won another medal for India and hopes to keep doing this.
On being asked about his comeback after a slow start, Swapnil stated that he just focused on his breathing and focused on his keywords(He did not tell us his keywords which we understand).
Paris Olympics 2024: Believed In My Practice
The elimination round might be the most tense thing you will ever see where one bad shot will knock you out of the competition. Swapnil made his comeback during that stage only which is historic in its own right.
The Bronze medalist stated that he was able to do that because of his practice and his belief in those moments. He further stated that he is feeling ecstatic but now has a habit of being normal.
