Manu Bhaker was grateful to everyone who stood beside her and gave credit to Bhagwad Geeta for her performance in Paris Olympics 2024.

Manu Bhaker has just scripted history. She became the first woman shooter to secure a medal for India in the Olympics. It was a sensational performance as the 22-year-old remained calm under pressure at all times.

It was a tense final as there was only a 0.1-point difference between her and silver medalist Kim Ye Jin. And to keep her calm in moments like these requires a certain level of dedication.

In the post-event interview, Manu stated that she reads a lot of Bhagwad Geeta. She also focused on how the book has helped her in life and her point of view towards life was refreshing.

While being asked how she remained calm under pressure, Manu stated”I read a lot of Gita, focus on your process, not the result, that was going through my mind in the final moment”.

She also focused on the words of Shree Krishna to Arjun where she stated that she can only control the controllable and can’t control the destiny. Her attitude after winning was so fresh and so inspiring that it will impact lots of young kids.

Manu Bhaker For More

Manu even stated that she has more events left in the Paris Olympics 2024 and both she and the Indian contingent will compete for more. “India deserves many more medals. As many as possible. The feeling is surreal, it takes a lot of effort.

In the last shot, I was fighting with all the energy I had. Maybe I can get better in the next (event). I was doing what I was supposed to do. After Tokyo, I was very disappointed. It took me a long time to get over that.”

She thanked everyone who stood beside her after the disappointment of the Tokyo Olympics. Manu will now compete in two more events:
