ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023: Determined centuries from Pooran and Hope revived West Indies of an early shamble and helped them secure a second win in their second match. This win also put them in first place in Group B and has almost secured their position in the super six.
On the other end, Nepal struck early twice and was looking to create a major upset in the qualifiers only. Lalit Rajbanshi took three wickets for the team and was one of the few positive things for Nepal in the match.
Pooran and Hope Show
After early wickets, Pooran decided to take matters into his own hands. He batted freely and was not afraid for even a second. A brilliant inning of 115 runs in just 94 deliveries included 10 boundaries and 4 sixes.
Hope was the real star, as he hit 132 runs in 129 deliveries and spent 197 minutes on the ground. He was playing second fiddle to Pooran in the early stages, but after Pooran, he took matters into his own hand again.

Nepal Fall Short
While chasing a massive target of 340, Nepal fall short massively and was bowled out on 238 runs. The last match hero, Bhurtel, was out early, and after that, every other batsman started to fall. Aarif Sheikh and Gulshan Jha tried to salvage the inning, but their efforts were not enough.
Jason Holder took three wickets with an economy of 3.40, breaking Nepal’s defense completely. Alzarri Joseph, Keemo Paul, and Akeal Hosein took two wickets each to complete the onslaught. West Indies won the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023 match by 101 runs.
